This exceptional villa for sale, located just 6 km from the centre of Verona and only 20 minutes drive from Villafranca di Verona airport, is considered one of the most important Renaissance villas in the Veneto region, beautifully set amidst the vineyards of Valpolicella and olive groves; a place of complete peace and tranquillity.

The 2,400 m2 villa was built in the 16th century. The load-bearing walls were built with local stone and materials salvaged from Roman villas. On the main façade is a signed fresco with a typical spiral by Paolo Farinati, a famous Verona painter of the time. The other buildings on the south or south-east side of the period villa, some of which date from an earlier period, cover an area of 1,300 sq m. The ancient residence is immersed in a centuries-old park of more than 4 hectares, with a magnificent avenue of cypress trees, statues, fountains, a small lake and a colonnaded nymphaeum, which also houses a noble chapel dedicated to San Nicolò di Tolentino.

The residence was completely renovated in 1970 and is protected by the Office for the Protection of Cultural Heritage. It has a characteristic square floor plan and consists of three floors connected by two lifts.

On the ground floor, under a magnificent brick vault, there is a huge heated swimming pool equipped with changing rooms, bathrooms, several atriums and a kitchen. On the first floor, with a floor plan typical of patrician mansions in the Veneto region, we find a central passageway flanked by four rooms on each side. The central hall, paved with original terracotta tiles, is dominated by a seven-metre high ceiling with exposed wooden beams of the "Sansovino" type. Six stone portals with prominent capitals and frames with the braid motif favoured by the architect Sanmicheli connect the salon with the dining room and adjoining lounges, along with the music and billiard rooms, all with stone and marble fireplaces, Venetian mosaic floors and ceilings with original segmental vaults decorated with fine stucco and arabesques. The sleeping area, comprising eight bedrooms, four bathrooms and several pass-through and service areas, is located on the second floor.
